Pakistani Passport Ranked Fourth Worst in the World, Henley Passport Index Reveals

The Pakistani passport, often referred to as the Green Passport, has once again been ranked as the fourth worst passport in the world, according to the latest Henley Passport Index. This London-based organization provides passport guidance and determines rankings based on the number of destinations passport holders can access without requiring a prior visa.

In the Henley Passport Index for Q3 2023, the Pakistani passport occupies the 100th position, granting its holders visa-free access to only 33 countries. This ranking has remained consistent over the past several years. The only passports ranking lower than Pakistan’s are those of Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Several other passports, including those of Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Nepal, North Korea, Libya, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, are ranked higher.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Singapore claims the top position with its citizens enjoying visa-free access to a remarkable 192 countries. Following closely behind Singapore are Germany, Italy, and Spain in second place. The third position is shared by Austria, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea, and Sweden.
