Pak Suzuki Offers Benefits to Lure Customers Amidst Expected Price Hikes

As the US dollar rate continues to soar to all-time highs, automakers in Pakistan are facing the inevitability of increasing car prices. However, in a bid to maintain customer interest and mitigate potential drops in demand, they are rolling out various benefits and incentives.
Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has introduced a “price lock” offer for all new bookings made in September 2023. This offer covers all models in their lineup, except for the Suzuki Alto VX and Cultus VXR, which are among their top-selling vehicles.
In addition to the price lock, Pak Suzuki is enticing potential buyers with other incentives:
  1. Free Registration: The company is offering free registration for the new Suzuki Cultus and WagonR models.
  2. Exchange Bonus: Customers interested in the new Suzuki Swift can benefit from a generous Rs. 150,000 exchange bonus.

While these incentives are appealing to prospective car buyers, they also serve as an indication of an impending wave of price hikes in the automotive industry. The US dollar rate has been steadily climbing since August, and its current trajectory suggests that further increases may be on the horizon.
The Pakistani car industry heavily relies on imports, making it challenging for automakers to maintain stable prices in the current economic climate. As a result, it appears to be a matter of “when” rather than “if” car manufacturers will raise prices, with all signs pointing to an imminent adjustment.
