Sahibzada Farhan Joins Elite T20 Club with Four Centuries in a Year

Sahibzada Farhan Enters Elite T20 Club with Four Centuries in 2025

Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan has etched his name in the history books by becoming the first Pakistani batter to score four T20 centuries in a calendar year, joining global cricket icons like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, and Shubman Gill.

A Record-Breaking Knock in PSL 10

The milestone came during HBL PSL 10 on Monday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where Farhan smashed a scintillating 49-ball century against Peshawar Zalmi—his first ever in the PSL.

Despite a shaky start that saw opener Andries Gous dismissed for a duck at 9/1, Farhan teamed up with Colin Munro to steady the innings with a blistering 100-run stand, taking United to 128/1 by the 11th over.

Elite Company: Kohli, Gayle, Gill & Now Farhan

With this feat, Farhan joins the rarest of T20 air:

  • Chris Gayle (2011)

  • Virat Kohli (2016)

  • Jos Buttler (2022)

  • Shubman Gill (2023)

What sets Farhan apart? He achieved this in just nine innings, the fastest among all.

Innings Summary

  • Century off 49 balls – fastest ever by an Islamabad United player

  • 144-run partnership with Colin Munro (40)

  • Supported by Jason Holder (20)* and Ben Dwarshuis (18)*

  • Final score: 243/5 – one of the highest PSL team totals

A New T20 Star for Pakistan?

Farhan’s explosive form and ability to deliver under pressure are drawing attention globally. As the cricketing world watches, he’s rapidly turning into Pakistan’s next T20 sensation.

Whether this knock leads Islamabad United to victory or not, Farhan’s name has already found a place among the legends of T20 cricket.
